Napa -- Pugs, Ashes & Diamonds.

Updated: Sep 11, 2018

The weekend calls. What do you do? Have any plans? Well, many times not having a plan set up or not knowing what to do is a good thing. One of the things that I have discovered -- is that the best adventures make the best experiences when they are not planned. It sounds odd.... but bare with me on this one.

To get straight to the point -- when nothing is planned, you don't have any expectations or standards to have or meet. Think about it when you do have something planned and nothing comes out the way you want it to... what happens? Well, you pretty much have a huge disappointment to deal with. This is why sometimes you just have to hit the road and go.

Ashes & Diamonds

Be open and make friends, too! That's what happened at Ashes & Diamonds this weekend. Met a pug named Ivy (she rocks) met some people from the east coast and tried out new wine! How fun is that? When the weather is perfect and the vibes are flowing -- you don't stop...You just take it all in and you are in the moment.

Sitting outdoors with yellow umbrellas and enjoying their Blanc White Wine made it into a stellar day. This particular wine is a fully ripe and textured, yet bright, zesty and supremely age-worthy blend of Sauvignon Blanc and Sémillon from three carefully-chosen vineyards in Napa Valley’s Oak Knoll District and Yountville.

Definitely made for great conversations and awesome picture/selfie/outdoor moments.

I do have to agree with Rumi's inspirational quote. Wine makes everything so much better and the more you enjoy it with good company -- the more memorable an unplanned weekend can and will be. Trust me on this one. Napa is a great way to try new wine and enjoy more of of what Sonoma County has to offer. Get out, go out and get lost. Positive stuff will happen.
